Clifden Glen ("CG"). Clifden Glen is a holiday estate located one mile east of the town of Clifden, the capital of Connemara, in the townland of Couravoughill. The estate opened in 1992. There are 127 holiday properties at Clifden Glen. There is also a reception building, club bar and restaurant, and leisure facilities such as tennis courts (3), childrens' play ground, and mini golf on the site. Key site infrastructure such as the Owenglen river bridge and roadways, public lighting, water works and sewage treatment is owned by the management company and is not vested in Galway County Council. Lodges ("Lodges"). There are 83 lodges at Clifden Glen numbered 1 to 83. Each lodge has three bedrooms. Each lodge extends to over 800 square feet. Cottages ("Cottages"). There are 44 semi-detached "cottages" or apartments in 22 blocks at Clifden Glen and they are numbered 84 to 127. Each cottage has a sitting room and kitchenette, bathroom, bedroom and a convertible (subject to planning permission) attic space. Each cottage extends to just over 400 square feet. Clifden Glen Management (2005) Plc ("CGM"). The company was incorporated in 2004 with the sole purpose of acquiring key infrastructure located at Clifden Glen and also becoming the new site manager. The shareholders in the company are exclusively property investors at Clifden Glen. The company operates on a not-for-profit basis its shareholders own 110 of the 127 properties at Clifden Glen. Gleeson McGrath Baldwin Solicitors ("GMB"). Legal advisers to Clifden Glen Management (2005) Plc and to a number of property owners. Self Catering Ireland ("SCI"). The company appointed by the lodge property partnerships to market all 4-star lodges from 2004. SCI is one of Ireland's largest holiday letting companies with over 3,000 properties on their books. The managing director of SCI is Mary Power and the company is based in Wexford. Subject to agreement with the participating cottage investors SCI will also market these properties in 2005. Clifden Glen is an ideal holiday location and over 50 properties are available for visitors through Self Catering Ireland. Click here to link to SCI's web site. Management Agreements ("Management Agreements"). An independent site management agreement is available to all shareholders in Clifden Glen Management (2005) Plc. Non shareholders rely on the terms contained within the original Deed of Transfer.
